The Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film is the original alcohol-free barrier film and is intended to protect skin from body fluids, adhesives and friction. This alcohol free, transparent and non-cytotoxic barrier film provides a thin quickly drying breathable layer on the surface of the skin.

It is composed of a unique 3M terpolymer that forms a breathable, transparent protective coating on the skin. The polymer is dissolved in a solvent system that makes the product fast drying and non-sticky. It also contains a plasticizer that assists in forming a continuous film even when applied over an area that bends or creases. Great for incontinence -associated dermatitis prevention and management and peristomal/peritube skin protection.

Lasting up to 72 hours, this clinically proven barrier film is designed to protect sensitive and healing skin from urine, feces, or other bodily fluids. It will not sting even when applied to broken, tender or excoriated skin, leaving the user comfortable and protected, while allowing for wound healing and protecting against infection. In addition it is not petrolatum-based and so will not clog or lower the absorption into incontinence pad or diaper linings. It can be purchased in several formats: 1 or 3mL foaming application, 28mL pump spray as well as stoma wipe.
